Hey everyone, i’ve just moved the website over to new hosting and with that I have some more options to play with to tweaking the site. I am thinking of a new layout, and will be working on this in the next few days.
I also plan to either upgrade or completely change the forum to a different layout, something that is a lot easier to view and edit.
 
Well IÂ decided to drop into Subaru today, and I discovered the brand new 2008 WRX parked up on display at Subaru North Jacklin. It arrived in there show room just yesterday afternoon at 5pm. Here are some pictures I took:
I noticed a few nice things in the interior, the keypad is in the fuse box now, there are a couple of alarm sensors on the a-pillars (we think – the manuals havent arrived yet), the top mount intercooler is a lot smaller but more square in shape, there are now buttons on the steering wheel for the stereo etc, the seats are very comfortable, there is a lot more leg room in the back seats, when the car is turned on, the dash lights are now red (like the STi) and the tacho and speedo etc flick to the right and back again during the initialisation (also like the STi). Its very different in body shape thats for sure, being a hatch. The sedan will be out in about a year and a half.
Ive just added in a calendar, the link is at the top right hand side of the screen here, and in the forum. Any member can make suggestions and additions to it, and they can be viewed by everyone. Ive already added in the Monthly Meet N Greets. Things like Test N Tunes can be added if anyone knows the dates etc…

Ive just installed a new mod to the forum called Garage, from www.phpgarage.com
The garage is an addon where you can enter in information about your car(s), any mods you have done to them etc. Theres plenty of options to look at, but it is still a relatively simple addon compared to the others.
I have set the permissions so that only Mackay WRX Forum members can see the garage.
This will mean we can keep your info about your cars relatively private still, but you can show off your goods to fellow members.
If anyone experiences any bugs, or want to add in extra features let me know, because its highly modifiable from my end.
Ive finally put up the videos from the old cruises that I have, Ive used Youtube.com to link it to our site so it doesnt use so much of our bandwidth and webspace.
Hey all i’ve just added another section to the site called “Encyclopedia”. So far i’ve got some information about the Subaru Impreza WRX & and the Subaru Impreza WRX STI. Some of the info is referenced from Wikipedia, but I thought it would be nice to have some of this information easily accessible to the local MackayWRX group who dont use wikipedia. If anyone would like some more things added in here let me know and I can add it easily. Soon I will be putting in service manuals, technical specs and things like that as well.
