Well we had a great turn out on the weekend with a few newcomers and a couple of old members too. There was a mixture of WRX’s and even a Forester. After a bit of a chat at Supercheap, and handing out of a few flyers to passers by, 5 of us decided to head to Seaforth for a cruise. It was a bit of fun with some nice twisties along the way, and once we got there we stopped for another chat to end the day.

Night Catch Up:Â
A few members have decided to have a catchup night once a month also, this will take place on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7pm across the road from Dan Murphys, Victoria St.
The next one will be the 13th of February.
 Test N Tune:
The next Test and Tune is the 11th of January, and next month on the 8th of February, a few members are going to be racing some of their cars, so feel free to check it out.
As the year is almost at an end and the groups activities have been dwindling off, I would like to know what everyone would like to do next year with the group. What sort of events would you like to see organised?

However this month, it will be taking place at a members house for a BBQ, swim and catchup for Christmas celebrations.

At the last Meet N Greet on the 30th of September, i was away on holidays so i am not sure who attended this event and what transpired. I will post up some more info about this as soon as I hear something.

At the last Meet N Greet on the 26th August, it was decided that we should go on a cruise up to Eungella and stop off at the Eungella Chalet at the end. From there we grabbed a few drinks/food. After the Chalet we headed up to broken river and beyond to the new section of bitumen road for some really fun twisting roads. I was impressed, it was a really good run.
A few of the new stickers were handed out, and a few orders were made for new ones.
 
Well IÂ decided to drop into Subaru today, and I discovered the brand new 2008 WRX parked up on display at Subaru North Jacklin. It arrived in there show room just yesterday afternoon at 5pm. Here are some pictures I took:
I noticed a few nice things in the interior, the keypad is in the fuse box now, there are a couple of alarm sensors on the a-pillars (we think – the manuals havent arrived yet), the top mount intercooler is a lot smaller but more square in shape, there are now buttons on the steering wheel for the stereo etc, the seats are very comfortable, there is a lot more leg room in the back seats, when the car is turned on, the dash lights are now red (like the STi) and the tacho and speedo etc flick to the right and back again during the initialisation (also like the STi). Its very different in body shape thats for sure, being a hatch. The sedan will be out in about a year and a half.

At the last Meet N Greet on the 29th July, it was decided that we should go on a cruise up to Eungella and stop off at the Eungella Chalet at the end. From there we can have a feed or grab a few drinks/food. And if your really keen, there is a bit a of a dirt run up to the Eungella Dam for those who don’t mind getting there rex’s dirty 
On display were the new www.mackaywrx.com stickers (Priced at around $30 each). Soon to come will be the generic club stickers which will be pretty cheap (around $5 each).

The 24th June meet up went well, madmike, whitenoisewrx and myself turned up and we discussed different designs of stickers and getting them made up at Mackay Stickers & Signs. We also talked about an upcoming caliper painting day, I’m thinking maybe a bbq round at my house also.
