Subaru halts turbo sales
April 11th, 2008A strange engine noise has left about $50 million worth of brand-new, high-end Subarus languishing in Australian warehouses and showrooms.
The Japanese carmaker yesterday suspended worldwide sales of several Subaru models after identifying “less than 10 instances” of excessive big-end bearing wear in models using its high-performance 2.5-litre turbocharged engine.
